Something old is something new
The third panel is actually from our second strip ever. I’m reasonably certain we only colored it in for the first Damn Heroes book. When it appeared on the web, it was in black and white. As to why, I couldn’t tell you. Probably because we got lazy, not because we were trying to make some high class artistic statement.
If you ever hear us being interviewed and we make up some kind of malarkey about the lack of color symbolizing the downtrodden in the pre-WWI era or the melting polar ice caps due to penguin flatulence, feel free to call us out on it.
