Damn Heroes

The thought of something this bizarre makes me giggle. I can actually picture this scene in my head like it was in a low budget fifties or sixties movie about how aliens attack our world. First the laser, then a poof of smoke (add in a Batman sound effect with the word POOF written on the screen for extra points), and then finally a box of oatbran falling to the ground and tumbling a few times. Utter panic ensues until one man steps in and finds some ridiculous way to stop the alien hoard. Maybe a spoon and milk. Who knows. Anyway, hope you dig this week’s strip!

Something about the way Mark wrote the woman in panel two saying “Honeybunny” put Harley Quinn in my mind as I was drawing this strip. Or maybe I’ve got a crush on Arlene Sorkin and Tara Strong.
